I'm still transitioning from my former host Zenfolio. Although there are many things I loved about having my website and blog hosted on Zenfolio, there were some things they weren't able to do to support the direction I am taking my business in. So for now I am using Google's Blogger to host my blog and Google Sites to run my website. Although both services are good to use, my ultimate goal is to have my website and blog integrated and hosted with a dedicated paid hosting service who will provide backend support as I need it, and I can also scale as my business grows.
Future Goals
Ultimately my goal is to spend more time behind the lens shooting and time at the keyboard writing. Now, the bulk of my time is spend on administrative things and it is squelching my creative juices.
Thus, I am shifting my focus to spend less time managing and running a store from my own website and instead partnering with marketplaces that work exclusively with artists and photographers. Doing that will have an impact on my earning potential as marketplaces tend to take the lion share of the profit. But the upside of that is they manage the entire supply chain and customer support. This frees me up to focus on my art and engage with you, the people who love, support and purchase my art.
However, this may change in the future, but for now I am finding the balancing act between managing and running a store and creating art untenable.
